LET'S TALK ABOUT PLASTIC

The prospect of a worsening global climate situation affects us all, regardless of where we live or our financial status, and one of the greatest threats to the stability of the ecosystem comes from the overproduction of plastic. While in such a situation it is easy to start blaming the culpable plastic manufacturers for driving the ecosystem to such a state, we have decided to openly tell the world that the right kind of plastic does not have to be harmful. At Bioeko we believe that convenience and environmental care can go hand in hand.

POLLUTING THE ENVIRONMENT

The globally popular PET plastic bottles can be used once and decay for hundreds of years to come, harming the environment in the process. However, the same bottle can serve successive consumers for decades to come, regardless of their geographic location. Thanks to modern manufacturing techniques and the large-scale use of recycled materials, plastic can be a reusable material.

The Bioeko Group team ensures that the plastics present in circulation can be recycled and used as many times as possible. To do this, we use the unique knowledge and skills of our technologists but they also need some help.

In the de-mystification of plastic, not only the manufacturers and those responsible for the plastic recovery process play a major role. Consumers themselves also make a very important contribution. As the Bioeko Group, we want not only to directly give new life to the plastic on the market but also to raise awareness of its role and possible applications. Many of us treat plastic as a homogeneous mass that we throw in the waste bin and do not bother to think about what might happen to this material next.

REMEMBER: NOT ALL PLASTIC IS RECYCLABLE!

HANDLE PLASTIC WELL

First of all, not all plastics are recyclable to the same degree, yet most plastics end up in the same containers, regardless of their recycling potential. Employees at each sorting plant have to select PET from among them which is then transported to the proper processing plants. On site, the waste is processed and certified as a material ready for any moulding, giving plastic a second life.

When handling plastic, let us remember that doing the right thing is not only in the interest of recyclers such as the Bioeko Group, but above all in the interest of us all.
